Radel James GACUMO is a language and literature instructor who is engaged with technology. He graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education (Major in English) and gained Master’s degree in Educational Technology from the Université Côte d’Azur in Nice, France. His research interests include literature-based instruction, literacy programs, curriculum, instruction and assessment, language acquisition and language learning, critical literacy, and adolescent reading. Furthermore, he involves himself with community service. Currently, he volunteers as a tutor in Paper Airplanes, a nonprofit organization registered in the USA that helps conflict-affected individuals with personal tutors for personal and career improvements. He loves reading fiction novels, writing essays and short stories, and reviewing films and TV series. He is a teacher who advocates genuine love for reading and aspires to explore the world of infinite possibilities through literacy.
