Isabel Jiménez Sáez is a PhD candidate in English linguistics. She is doing her PhD in cotutelle agreement under the supervision of Dr Pilar Guerrero Medina (University of Córdoba) and Dr Dylan Glynn (University of Paris 8). In her doctoral dissertation, she explores how Spanish and English speakers express changes of state they experience in everyday life, drawing on the theoretical framework of Construction Grammar and a corpus-based approach.
