Kevser Güngör is doing a joint PhD at the University of Paris 8 under the supervision of Arnaud Regnauld, and at the University of Montreal under the supervision of Dominic Arsenault.
Her thesis is entitled « (Re)devenir humain : l’androïde, figure intermédiale et outil de (re)conquête ontologique dans les formes contemporaines de (science-)fiction ». Her research is situtated at the crossroads between English literary studies and video game studies, specifically focusing on the contemporary forms of North American (science-)fiction.
Her research interests include science-fiction, North-American literature, intermediality, film and video game studies, philosophy, agency and embodiment, avatarship, etc.
She is currently working as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Montreal. She taught English Linguistics and Translation as an ATER (Attachée Temporaire d’Enseignement et de Recherche) at the University of Artois (Arras, France) in 2021-2022.
