AIGOIN Magali

Magali Aigoin is a history-geography teacher with a cinema/audiovisual certification in secondary education. She is also a speaker for arthouse cinema and has written or participated in several books on cinema. Currently enrolled as a doctoral student at the University of Paris 8, under the supervision of Professor Bertrand Van Ruymbeke, she is preparing a dissertation entitled “The US Revolutionary war in series”. His Master’s thesis (2024) already focused on the series Turn, Washington’s Spies. She is interested in what motivates cinematographic history adaptations, the messages they transmit, as well as the means used to promote phenomena of identification and projection in these audiovisual worlds created and tinged with history. She also analyzes the reception and uses that can be made of series and movies.
