 Steve Tomasula is the author of the novels VAS : An Opera in Flatland (2002, University of Chicago Press), an acclaimed novel of the biotech revolution ; IN&OZ (2003, University of Chicago Press, 2012) ; The Book of Portraiture (2006, FC2) ;TOC : A New-Media Novel (2010, FC2/University of Alabama Press).
 His short fiction has been published in McSweeney’s, The Denver Quarterly, Fiction International, American Letters & Commentary, Western Humanities Review, Ninth Letter, and The Iowa Review where he received the Iowa Prize for the most distinguished work published in any genre.
 He is the author of numerous essays published in a variety of internationally renowned journals like Leonardo (MIT), and he has most recently contributed two essays to the Routledge Companion to Experimental Literature (Routledge, 2012).
 Steve Tomasula holds a doctorate in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is on the faculty of the University of Notre Dame. He is the founder of the “&Now Festival ”, a yearly literary event dedicated to contemporary innovative writing.
 VAS : An Opera in Flatland and The Book of Portraiture are forthcoming in French (translated by Anne-Laure-Tissut) from éditionsHYX (Orléans).
